Player Appearance Program

One of the keys to our success is to ensure that our entire organization becomes more involved in the community. The best way for us to do this is to make sure that our organization is accessible to the members of our community.

It is expected that the majority of requests will come from minor hockey teams requesting players to visit their practices and go on the ice. However, it is important to note that this program is designed for all types of community events as well.

We hope that our fans will understand that we will not be able to satisfy all of the requests that come in. Our players have very busy schedules.  Players attend school in the morning, they practice in the afternoon, and then they are responsible to finish homework assignments and any studying that needs to be done. It is very important to balance their community activities with their everyday activities…and we also have to remember that they are kids and need to have some down time as well.

It is anticipated that this program will provide the Rocket players with great experience in understanding that they are role models for many youngsters who look up to them and in some cases, who idolize them. We have a great group of kids and we want people to get to know them for more than just their hockey skills. This program is an example of how we will try to provide our players with a total developmental experience while being a member of the PEI Rocket family. We hope to make them better hockey players during their tenure here, but we also hope to make them better individuals, and this program is one of the ways we can assist in this process.

Each request will receive fair and consistent consideration and will be confirmed on the basis of availability and team policies.  Submitting a request does not guarantee an appearance. Requests should be received at least 2 weeks prior to a scheduled event and the organization will make every effort to respond in a timely fashion to each request.
