The PEI Rocket and Hockey PEI were very pleased with the results of last year's event. The 1st Annual Rocket Street Hockey Festival took place September 3rd and 4th, 2009 in downtown Charlottetown. The PEI Rocket donated proceeds of this event to minor hockey. The PEI Rocket annually supports the island team, which represents PEI in the prestigious Quebec International Peewee Tournament.

"We were extremely excited about this event. This was a great way for the PEI Rocket to continue our community outreach programs and get our younger fans involved", said GM Kent Hudson. "We are really looking forward to a bigger event this year due to the excitement it generated with the kids."

2010's Event will include the same format as last year:

• PEI Rocket players will take part in a celebrity street hockey game
• Rocket players will be available for pictures and autographs
• Every participant in the festival will be invited, and given a free ticket, to attend a PEI Rocket exhibition game!
• Participants will receive a T-shirt
• Teams are guaranteed 4 games
• All participants will be eligible for a Prize draw, which will include the grand prize of a PEI Rocket flex pass.
• Division winners will be recognized at centre during a PEI Rocket game.
