The PEI Rocket held the 2011-2012 edition of the Fans Choice Awards dinner on March 19th at Murphy's Community Centre. After finishing the season at home on Sunday, March 18th , the Rocket celebrated the accomplishments of the 2011-2012 season.
The night, hosted by Kirk MacKinnon and Kerri-Wynne MacLeod, was a chance for fans, sponsors and supporters to get up close and personal with the players as the organization paid tribute to the 2011-2012 award winners. Fans were able to visit the PEI Rocket website in early March to vote for the most deserving Rocket players in each of the categories.
“As an organization, we feel it is extremely important to celebrate our team members for their dedication during the past season”, said President Serge Savard, Jr. “We have a great group of kids and they deserve this opportunity to be recognized.
